Job Description

A requirement for a Flow Manager or Product Manager has arisen in a well funded (over $20 million) project in the City of London to quite literally change the world by working on a digital decentralisation platform for people to build safely onto the blockchain.

This role has arisen from a Kanban project requirement of managing day to day operations on the board and the interaction between the teams to ensure smooth work flow and product completion. The project is running on a very flat structure so there is no room for hierarchical behavior or politics in the team, everyone works together to do their job as best they can.

Your responsibilities in this role will be to:

  • Look after team requirements.
  • Make sure each team has what they need to collaborate together, clearing any blockages.
  • Coordinate daily stand-ups, see what has been done.
  • Be a point of contact for any issues flagged up and facilitate resolution.
  • Collaborate with product owner ensuring owners understand the tasks coming onto the board.

The most important background and experience/skills required are:

  • A Scrum Master who has perhaps moved across to KANBAN and adapted well
  • Experience of deploying and managing Kanban for delivery teams
  • Understand hierarchical boards and the use of resource (capability) pools
  • Familiar with CFD (cumulative flow diagrams) and scatter diagrams and their use to manage outcomes.
  • Understand the product management role and how it interfaces to the delivery teams
  • Exposure to upstream or discovery Kanban to compliment the delivery teams
  • Knowledge of electronics boards for management of multiple and remote delivery teams.
  • Someone with a high empathy who has worked around development groups, is fairly hands on and open minded.
