Founded in 2014 this IOT analytics startup has been through the hard part of building out scalable, affordable hardware solution to provide intelligence to some of the largest retail and leisure businesses in the UK helping with managing their open spaces in accordance to health and safety guidelines. They are now getting ready for the next round of investment and serious growth and need a new Head of Engineering to work alongside the CTO/Co-founder to take oversee this and the existing team of 5 engineers.

 

• Managing large-scale feature development from planning through to roll-out
• Managing and maintaining the flagship products and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Conducting best practice code reviews and personal development meetings
• Resource planning, budgeting and hiring both in house and offshore
• Working closely with Data Science and Analytics team to grow the computer vision algorithms offered to customers

• Experience of leading/managing a small tech team (ideally within a startup)
• Experience of Python Development (and Go ideally)
• Deploying onto AWS and GCP
• Experience of debugging/problem solving on Linux based devices from application to kernel layer
