Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Sous to join a 2AA Rosette Kitchen at a busy country house hotel in this small Cotswolds town. The hotel is part of a small group of 9 high end hotels that spread across the Cotswolds providing all guests with a luxury experience. This hotel has two kitchens; one of which produces a modern gastro style menu for the bar and lounge, the other kitchen serves their restaurant which has been awarded two AA Rosettes. Both kitchens are under the direction of the Head Chef. The kitchens are run to his impeccable standards; producing seasonal menus while using fresh, quality ingredients. Your role as a Junior Sous will involve working closely with both the Sous and Head chef, as well as taking charge of junior kitchen staff when necessary. This is a full-time role with an immediate start.

The Role:

  • Working closely alongside both the Sous and Head Chef
  • Delegate job’s accordingly to the staff within the kitchen
  • Help to create new, award winning dishes
  • Assist with the training of junior staff
  • Running your own section within the kitchen

The Candidate:

  • Experience of working at Rosette level
  • The candidate must have minimum of 1 years Junior Sous experience
  • Ability to work in and run a fast-paced kitchen
  • Must have a passion for using fresh ingredients
  • Must have experience with creating high quality dishes
