Job Title: Animal Carer

Location: Waltham Forest

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £11.75 per hour

Contract: currently three months

For our client we are looking for an experienced animal carer with dog handling experience and driving experience to transport their 80 dogs in their vehicles and ensure that all dogs are properly cared for and in good health.

The role involves:

• cleansing of the kennels and other areas
• provision of suitable food, water, bedding, exercise, veterinary care and sleeping considerations
• the transportation of dogs as required
• to maintain clear and accurate records
• to assist in emergencies concerning the animals
• site working in all weathers

Please apply if you:

• have experience of working in a kennel environment
• have experience in transporting animals
• have experience in the handling of aggressive and dangerous dogs and associated risks
• are aware of the proper use of protective equipment and are familiar with the use of such protective clothing and equipment as may be issued or recommended, seeking guidance from the line manager as required
• have the ability to work in a kennel environment that is extensive, physically arduous and undertaken outside in all weathers
• are able to work shifts and weekends
• have a keen eye to attention to detail
• have a full Driving License
