Job Description

For our Portishead based client we are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Operative and Driver to

Undertake driving duties including transporting passengers, goods, post and parcels
Assist with the maintenance work on premises, grounds, vehicles, equipment and the delivery or collection of goods and event/exhibition services.The role involves to undertake minor maintenance and respond quickly to needs and requests for maintenance, including

minor electrical work such as changing light bulbs/tubs, altering time switches
grounds maintenance such as gardening, mowing lawns, sweeping grounds, clearing snow, clearing drains
basic carpentry
basic plumbing
replenish janitorial supplies, eg paper towels, toilet rolls, roller towels and soap dispensers.
basic painting and decorating workThe role also involves:

To collect confidential paper waste and take it to secure point to await collection by contractor.
To test fire alarms, panic alarms, emergency lighting, water temperatures and ensure emergency generators and heating/cooling systems are regularly checked.
Loading and unloading of vehicles.
Post van driving duties
Assist with office moves including the removal and storage of furniture.
Assist with setting up meeting rooms and if appropriate ensure that any equipment and supplies required are available.
Assist with receiving goods/deliveries and store items and their distribution to all sites, as required.
Undertake minor maintenance of vehicles, including changing wheels, light bulbs, checks of fuel, oil, water, tyres etc and regular cleaning (washing and vacuuming).
Arrange service and MOT’s for Client’s vehicle fleet and deliver and collect to appropriate location.
Read gas, electricity and fuel oil meters and diesel/petrol levels by dip/pump and report findings to line manager.

Have experience of groundworks and gardening
Have experience of basic carpentery, plumbing, electrical and janitory experience
Have a high sense of duty and service orientation
Have physical fitness
Can pass police vetting
