PYTHON DEVELOPER OPPORTUNITY WITH £4 BILLION MARKET LEADER UP TO 75000 PLUS SHARE OPTIONS INCLUDED - LONDON!

This is an opportunity for a Python Developer to work in a well funded tech startup that has become a self sustaining and profitable market leader in a £4 billion market, all within 4 years! Backed by leading VCs, angels & founders and managed by a team with 50+ years’ experience scaling businesses, they understand their two-sided marketplace better than anyone else on the planet and are using technology to disrupt how their industry works.

If you are a Python Developer:

  • Someone with at least 2 years solid coding experience (Python and Angular preferable)

As a Python Developer you will:
  • Have intelligent input into the complex architecture
  • Implement complex and large features
  • Improve user experiences by working with senior developers and other members of staff
  • Add to the  great engineering culture with your experience and enthusiasm 
  • Enhance your skills by working closely with a Senior Developer as your mentor, and provide mentorship to Junior Developers in turn
  • Participate in planning retrospectives, demos, sessions and stand-ups
  • Join the team in curating a codebase everyone can be proud of, focussing on quality, testability and maintainability 

The current technology stack (open to improvements and suggestions):

  • Python on the server side, using Django as a web framework, and Django Rest Framework for the API
  • PostgreSQL for the database, using some of its advanced geographic modelling capabilities
  • Angular on the clientside - Typescript is loved here!
  • A hybrid mobile app developed using Ionic on top of Cordova
  • Github, Heroku and codeship for code review, deployment and integration
  • AWS and Docker for a standardised but customisable development environment!
