Job Description

For our Wakefield based client we are currently looking for an experienced Domestic Violence Support worker to work alongside the Domestic Abuse team.

 
The role involves to:
  • Provide advice, support and advocacy to all victims experiencing domestic and sexual abuse 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for high risk cases.
  • Attend MARACs. 
  • Report to the Police 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Criminal Court cases. 
  • Provide specialist domestic abuse support and guidance to colleagues and other professionals.
 
Please apply if you have:
  • Experience in providing specialist Domestic Abuse support for victims. 
  • Extensive experience of supporting and advocating on behalf of high risk domestic abuse victims.
  • A Safe Lives (CAADA) IDVA qualification.
  • A good understanding and knowledge of domestic abuse and the impact on victims and children.
  • Experience of assessing needs of vulnerable client groups and carrying out risk assessments and managing risk.
  • A recent enhanced DBS check certificate.
